I am a freelance journalist based in the lovely Co Clare in the West of Ireland. Yes, the isolation and remoteness can get to you sometimes (thank God for internet, sat TV, and the local scuba diving and scenery) but more often I have to focus on how to make a decent living without feeling I have to move to some stressful location.
